Savoring Summer

Is summer almost over? Like a blink of an eye, I tell ya. In fact, I barely even noticed it. First of all, I got married. Which was blissful and amazing. Immeditately following the honeymoon, I went into crazy work mode and I haven’t stopped working since (less an epic trip to Big Sur).

Next week is back to school, back to work, back to it all. And I love that feeling of the launch of a new season. We’re opening a great show at the gallery and I’m so excited to roll out a new project here on the blog (which I’ll talk more about soon!). In the meantime, we still have a few days before Labor Day and I’m savoring every moment of the season. So when Clare called me up on Saturday and asked me to go to the Hollywood Bowl with her on Sunday I said YES before she could even tell me who was performing. Packing a picnic and seeing a show at this beautiful outdoor venue is one of my favorite summer rituals and I knew I had to be there. While sipping rosé, noshing on figs with cheese and listening to a tribute to Serge Gainsbourg, the air was warm and suddenly I could feel it: SUMMER!
