Palm Springs Style
Our friends Victoria and Tim tied the knot at the Viceroy in Palm Springs this past weekend and the happy occasion provided a perfect excuse to grab my sunniest clothes and head to the desert. We spent one night at the Ace Hotel and managed to sneak lots of poolside lounging and vista viewing. And there is nothing like a chic weekend getaway to debut some new clothing/accessories about which I’m currently obsessing: Black Crane tie-dye cami and ballon pants, H&M floral jacket and Karen Walker sunglasses. Here I am taking in the beautiful mountains, moments after arrival.
My favorite cactus at the Ace.
After a day of margaritas and a stack of old issues of The New Yorker by the pool, we cleaned up and headed to the Viceroy to watch our friends exchange vows. But first we did an impromptu photoshoot! Alex looked super cute in his Thick As Thieves custom suit, which he had made for our wedding last summer.
I went all sicko on sparkly accessories and red lips and got very cozy with some bright pink bouganvilla.
This was my first time exploring the Viceroy and I loved the glamour and quintessential Palm Springs-ness of the property, with all its yellow and white stripes, gold doorknobs, graphic black and white awnings and light blue pools. And did I mention the bouganvilla?
Just as the sun set behind the mountains a Carolina Hererra-clad Victoria walked down the aisle to greet her man Tim and make it official. Beautiful bride and beautiful ceremony! We loved being there.
The following morning we drove through town making a few stops along the way. My Black Crane jumper and woven Mexican belt made me very happy in the desert sun.
Until next time, Palm Springs!
