Terroni
After working for most of the day, I took the afternoon off and whisked my friend Annie away to the Grove where we luxuriated in a perfect ladies afternoon: window shopping followed by a viewing of The Other Boleyn Girl. We loved the costume and production design but were annoyed by Scarlett’s constant gulping and throat tightening and Natalie’s non-stop crying. Anyway, onto the matter at hand…
The real show stopper was dinner at Terroni, a relatively new Italian restaurant in the old Authentic Cafe location on Beverly Blvd. I want to say this is one of my favorite LA Italian restaurants – it was that exciting. I loved the design of the space – newly revamped with massive crystal chandeliers, exposed brick and mid century furnishings, it’s cozy and chic (my favorite combo). Like La Buca, they make all their pasta fresh daily and indeed I indulged in some Rigatoni alla Norma. It was divine, with aged ricotta melting on top. Big thanks to Annie and Michael for making the recommendation!
