Photography in LA

There is a lot of art happening in LA this weekend – I started the day off with a visit to Photo LA, where LACMA’s photography curator, Charlotte Cotton led a captive audience on a walk through the fair. I loved seeing the all the vintage prints (especially the Stieglitz photogravures) but what I most enjoyed was what Charlotte had to say about the collecting of vintage books. We spent a nice chunk of time in the Lead Apron booth, discussing all their out-of-print and highly collectible offerings.
