You had me at Matzah Roca…
Last night, at my family’s Passover sedar I had a very spiritual experience. It involved matzah, chocolate and caramel. Here is the recipe for this insane goodness, as written on my facebook wall by my fourteen year old cousin, Max:
“Hey Heather,
The recipie for the Matzah Roca is pre-heat the oven at 400 degrees. Melt together a hefty 1/2 a cup of sugar and a stick of butter. When it gets kinda thick pour it on top of the matzah that’s placed on the tinfoil lined pan. (it doesn’t matter if the matzahs uneven cuz ur gonna smash it up anyway). Put it in the oven for like 10 seconds then take it out. Pour about 3/4 a bag of chocolate chips onto it. Put back in oven for 20 seconds. Then take it out and smear it all over evenly. Put it in the freezer untill it’s hard (may take like 15-25 minutes). Then smash it up and eat! =]”
