Delicious, Festive, Melisse…

If it’s not the absolute best, the contemporary French restaurant Melisse, is definitely one of the best restaurants in L.A (and they have the Michelin Stars to prove it!).

This is the ultimate grown-up, special occasion spot in my opinion and last night my family and I indulged in the tasting menu. Among the highlights:

- chestnut-mushroom soup with a creme fraiche filled tortellini (I will be attempting to recreate this – who wants to come over?)
-seasonal vegetable salad with burrata (Chef Josiah Citrin is a regular at the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market)
-lobster bolognese with homemade capellini and brown butter truffle foam (really? is this even possible?)
-sticky toffee cake with malt ice cream (you had me at sticky)
