What did you do last night? Instead of my Monday night routine of early dinner and a mellow night at home, I met up with my future mother-in-law for the opening of the Maria Callas exhibit at the Italian Cultural Institute. On view through April 23 are the late opera singer’s stage costumes and pieces from her personal wardrobe – fluffy pink fans, extravagant jewelry, wild headpieces and other accoutrements that demanded my undivided attention.

Especially loved the dozens of blown up images of Callas on stage. Just dramatic enough to reinvigorate me for the week! Long live La Divina!
