My friend Zoe Nathan is the chef and co-owner of some of West LA’s best places to enjoy a good meal or an indulgent snack: Rustic Canyon Wine Bar, Milo and Olive, Sweet Rose Creamy and the city’s best bakery, Huckleberry Cafe. Lately, Zoe’s instagram feed (@zoewellesnathan) has been particularly delicious-looking and I started to notice a new hashtag: #huckcookbook. SCORE! Zoe is writing a cookbook! I casually asked if she needed any recipe testers and next thing ya know, I’m making her Sour Cherry Turnovers on a Sunday morning and taking notes along the way. Alex said they were the best thing I’ve ever baked.
