Holiday Shopping
I went to a Holiday Bazzar this weekend hosted by my lovely ladies Joanna Williams, Simone LeBlanc and Melissa Coker at their shared studio space in Atwater Village. Guests perused the locally designed and handmade goods while enjoying sitar and tabla music and drinking champagne. When did shopping become so much fun?
Beatrice Valenzuela‘s selection of handmade Mexican shoes.
An eager shopper (me) grabs a diamond ring designed by Kathryn Bentley.
Gift sets filled with life’s simple pleasures by Simone LeBlanc: a chai tea blend, a journal and lemon eucalyptus soap.
Simone hard at work in front of a beautiful textile.
Wallets designed by Clare Vivier in an array of candy colored hues – loved this vivid blue.
Hanging by Clare’s table, surrounded by beautiful vintage dresses and stacks of fashion books.
Ceramic planters designed by Kelly Lamb.
Joanna, me and Simone in a lovefest moment.
Bea looking super cute in an Isabel Marant top.
I left the sale with a handful of purchases, mainly the gorgeous socks designed by Hannah Byun for Hansel from Basel. Thanks to the ladies who put this sale together – it was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon in December. And big thanks to my young husband Alex de Cordoba for photographing the day.
On the topic of holiday shopping, this was my first attempt of the season. Have you started? Is anyone feeling as out of control as I am??????
