Gravel and Gold

Life has been so busy that I haven’t even been able to write about my July 4 weekend in San Francisco. There were many amazing food and shopping highlights that I hope to share but I must start with my favorite discovery of the trip: a little store in the mission called Gravel and Gold. If I were to open a shop, it might look an awful lot like this.

The store features a diverse selection of goods – everything from Upsate scarves to Opinel folding knives to bread baked locally by Josey Baker Bread. Scattered about is an inspired selection of jewelry and accessories including the work of many of my buddies like Jesse Kamm and Kathleen Whitaker.

And stacks of paper goods including postcards like this beautiful purple and pink drawing of San Francisco. Many thanks to my sis for introducing me to this great spot.
