The Way We Wore Pop-Up Store
First, let me state that I love The Way We Wore, the vintage fashion mecca on La Brea. The lacy nightgowns a la Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, the pristine swimsuits from the ’50s and the rows and rows of dresses keep me coming back for more. And I’m in good company. In addition to a long list of celebrities who are regulars, many major fashion designers turn to The Way We Wore for inspiration, too.
Wonderfully, the store has now expanded to Melrose – but for a limited time only. Owner Dorris Raymond, the fashion historian and exemplary business woman, wanted to create a space outside of her main boutique where she could sell many items with lower price-tags. With dresses starting at $22 and racks stocked with items for $15 or less, I would run not walk. This pop-up store will live in it’s current location through the summer only, so run fast…
