Whimsical Tea Party Bridal Shower

Earlier this summer, Jeana, Beatrice, Joanna and I hosted a bridal shower for our friend Simone LeBlanc. Our initial inspiration was a traditional tea party, which quickly morphed into an iced-hibiscus-rose-water tea party. For decor, we spent a morning in LA’s chinatown neighborhood and picked up colorful paper lanterns. For food, Paper Palate put together a garden-inspired menu (lavender and ricotta tomato tart, fava bean and asparagus salad, nectarine caprese and radicchio and smoked trout cups). We decorated with buffet table with linens from my White Flower collection and beautiful flower arrangements from Hollyflora. In lieu of shower games, each guest made a floral crown. Party favors were wooden fans and fold-up sun hats. All photographs by Nancy Neil.
