Garden Moments + Flower Arranging

Garden is looking beautiful, in a LA-wintery type of way. The citrus is going crazy, the camellias are at the tale-end of their magical run and pieris (those white bell shaped flowers that look like they are made of sugar) are blooming. And because it has been unseasonably warm my roses are coming alive (climbers!).

As I’ve mentioned before on LA in Bloom, flower arranging helps me chill out after a long work day and that’s exactly what I experienced yesterday. After working all day, I was stressed and feeling a bit uninspired. I grabbed my garden shears and headed outside. I cut some herbs and flowers and let the creativity take over. Result: a calm mind and a beautiful bedside table bouquet. Have a great week and try to literally take a moment to smell the roses if at all possible. xoHBT
