Yesterday was a gorgeous, sunny Southern California day and I hosted a brunch meeting (planning the 2011 No Cookie Left Behind Bake Sale!) for some ladies at my house. After an early trip to the Hollywood Farmer’s market, I prepared Ina Garten’s Spinach in Puff Pastry to satisfy our savory cravings and Almond Chocolate Chip Biscotti for something sweet. Tannaz made her famous fruit salad (mint, cinnamon, and brown sugar take it over the top) and Jodi knocked it out of the park with Gjelina’s Bacon and Date scones from this month’s Bon Appetit. Dreamy sunday morning for the second week in a row.
