My favorite place to stay in Ojai: The Love Shack (VRBO).
Heirloom tomato Bruschetta at Osteria Monte Grappa.
Mornings at the Love Shack include drinking coffee on the porch and listening to the rambling creek.
I've written about it before but can't myself from including this pic of the Huevos Rancheros from The Farmer and The Cook. Best breakfast in Ojai.
The reason for the trip was a Heather Taylor Home trunk show at the cute new shop, Shop Summer Camp.
Love how the shop is decorated with ferns.
CUTE
Love the landscape in the valley.
Dinner at the family-owned, roadside pizza place Bocalli's is the coziest. I love sitting outside as the sun is setting.
The pizza is delish but the Strawberry Shortcake at Bocalli's is legendary amongst tourists and locals alike. Insanely good.
The following morning, we noshed on egg and cheese sandwiches on homemade bagels at the charming bakery Knead.
And on the way out of town we stopped by my friend Holly's mulberry farm for a few hours of berry picking.
In addition to being outrageously juicy and delicious, mulberries are packed full of nutrients.
Crazy looking hands after picking.
Happy Summer! Ojai love forever.
A Weekend in Ojai
Just came back from a few days spent in Ojai, my favorite spot for a weekend getaway. I know I’ve written about it before (here, here and here) but I can’t help coming back to it on LA in Bloom. I was in town for a Heather Taylor Home trunk show at Shop Summer Camp, an insanely cute new shop in town. Even though we were there for work, we managed to hit up some of our favorite spots (list below). And look out for my article about Ojai in the August issue of Good Housekeeping!
