Comme Ci, Comme Ca
I’ve eaten some really delicious things this week, including homemade linguine with spicy shrimp in a light tomato sauce at Il Moro, halibut with tempura shrimp at Vincenti and red grape and lychee sorbet at Scoops. All those dishes were amazing but nothing comes close to touching the chocolate brioche bread pudding at Comme Ca. The deep, dark chocolate with vanilla bean ice cream and chopped pistachios was divine. This little piece of heaven made up for some of Comme Ca’s foibles – primarily the staff’s lack of manners and the restaurant’s lack of volume control. It is loud, loud, loud in there! Writing this makes me feel like an old lady, but seriously. Pull it together, David Myers.
Now for a weekend of healthy, restorative eating at home and lots of relaxing.
