Pomegranate Jewel Cake

With pomegranates from my friend Holly‘s farm in Ojai, I decided to try a recipe for a “Pomegranate Jewel Cake,” from Nigella Lawson’s book “Feast.” Once the almond-based cake (flavored with orange and lemon zest) comes out of the oven, you pour fresh pomegranate juice over the top and let it soak in.
