French Dinner Party
As noted in this post, I spent Friday morning making Julia Child’s Pouding Alsacien (Gratin of Sauteed Apples – a cold dessert) to bring to a frenchy french dinner party, to be followed by a screening of Julie & Julia. While relaxing on lovely hostess Rachel Gandin’s patio, we enjoyed the following delights: an assortment of French cheeses accompanied by Strawberry and Provencal Lavender Conserve (you had me at Provencal), Rose Champagne, Coq Au Vin, Potato Gratin and of course my Pouding Alsacien.
A dreamy summer night indeed. Oh and the movie went down real smooth.
